The successor to Sony’s Tablet S has allegedly been leaked in what seems to be internal presentation slides of the company.
Called as the ‘Xperia Sony Tablet’, it carries the same folded back styling of the Tablet S and is said to be thinner, lighter and much more powerful than its predecessor.
The specs that the Xperia Sony Tablet is said to be arriving with are powerful 9.4 inch screen with a display resolution of 1280 x 800, powered by Tegra 3 processor, Android 4.0 ICS or later, 3G, BT 3.0, Wi-Fi, 8 MP camera on the rear and 1 MP front facing.
The Xperia Sony Tablet is said to be 8.8mm thick with splash proof aluminium shell which is 42 percent thinner than the Tablet S. It will be powered by a 6000 mAh battery with 10 hours of non-stop Wi-Fi usage. It’ll be available in three storage options: 16 GB, 32 GB and 64 GB.
Along with the tablet, this time around, Sony is also interested in making loads of accessories available for the new tablet. And the most interesting accessory of them all is the cover with keyboard (like the one with Microsoft’s Surface) which is tentatively priced at $99. The tablet is expected to arrive in September with a pricing of $449.99 for the 16GB model, $549.99 for the 32GB, and $649.99 for the 64GB.
