Ubuntu is one of the world’s favorite OSs. It is also a start up that is trying to make a dent in the vastly competitive smartphone industry. Ubuntu has come out with its own OS after its funding goal on crowd funding website Indiegogo for a Ubuntu Edge smartphone failed, and its endeavor now is to get smartphone companies to go in for its Touch OS, which could work easily on Android compatible phones. It releases October 17 and seems quite  interesting and awesome.Ubuntu

The Ubuntu Touch is simplified mobile version of the Linux Based Desktop OS. The best part is that it can run desktop OS if connected to your PC or TV and you will actually feel like you are carrying your desktop in your pocket.

Ubuntu Touch OS will be free for installation. But, unless some smartphone company picks it up, you will have to flash it manually on your phone. After October 17, you can easily pick it up and install.

Ubuntu will release a list of compatible devices when the official release happens.
