While Nokia is dominating the Windows Phone market, Huawei is trying to compete by launching the Huawei Ascend W2, which is a Windows Phone 8 powered smartphone and provides high-quality Windows Phone experience in a colourful new form factor.
The Huawei Ascend W2, which is the quick successor for the Ascend W1 which was launched at CES 2013 earlier this year, has a 4.3 inch display with resolution of 800 x 480 pixels. The device is powered by a 1.4 GHz dual core Snapdragon processor along with just 512 MB of RAM and 8 GB of internal storage.
The Huawei Ascend W2 is equipped with a 5 MP rear facing camera auto focus camera with 720p HD video recording. The phone runs on the Windows Phone 8 OS with a 1700 mAh battery which uses Huawei’s unique power-saving technology. The device is available in Black, Blue, Red and Yellow colours.
