Micromax, the popular Indian manufacturer has started sending out invites for an event in Delhi next week on Monday. Reportedly, Micromax is all set to unveil their very first Windows Phone devices.
According to TOI, Micromax will be unveiling two new budget Windows Phone devices. One of them will be priced at around Rs. 10,000-11,000 and the other one at Rs. 6,000-7,000. So, we can expect these devices to feature modest specs. Considering Windows Phone is quite well optimised to run on lower end hardware, we can expect good performance from these Micromax Windows Phone devices. Micromax is said to be bringing these devices under their popular Canvas branding.
Micromax recently partnered with Microsoft to build Windows Phone devices and a Micromax Windows Phone 8.1 device was even shown off at the Build 2014 conference. It’s only now that we might see first Micromax Windows Phone devices hit the market. These devices should go on sale soon after they are unveiled and as always, we’ll keep you posted.
We don’t have any info on the recently leaked high end Micromax Windows Phone smartphone but that seems to be coming later or are we in for a surprise? We should know soon.
