While most of the flagship smartphones have started receiving the latest Android Lollipop version, Samsung has started rolling out the update for the Galaxy Note 3 in India.

Samsung Galaxy Note 3

Samsung has started rolling out the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 (SM-N900) in India. The update, measuring 837.27 MB, is being rolled out Over-the-Air (OTA) but in a phased manner. As such most of the Note 3 users in India can expect the update by the end of this week.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 offers the new material design, quick notifications on the lock screen, enhanced performance and more. The company has requested users to keep at least 1 GB of free memory before updating the device. Surprisingly, the Note 4 is yet to receive the update in India.

Thanks Mayur for the tip.
