Just months after the Xiaomi Redmi 2A was launched, the company has now launched a new variant of the handset with 2 GB of RAM.
Xiaomi has announced the launch of a new variant of the Xiaomi Redmi 2A, which is a variant of the affordable smartphone with additional 2 GB of RAM. The device has a 4.7 inch IPS display with Corning Gorilla Glass 3 protection and resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The smartphone is powered by a 1.5 GHz quad core LCI L1860C processor along with 4G support, 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of internal storage.
The Xiaomi Redmi 2A has an 8 MP rear facing auto focus camera with BSI sensor, f/2.2 aperture and LED flash. There is also a front facing 2 MP camera. The device runs on the Android Lollipop version with a layer of the MiUI v6 on top of it. The handset is priced at just $86 and is available in White, Dark gray, Bright Yellow, Light Green and Pink colour options.
