MWC 2012: ASUS announces the Padfone, a phone and tablet merged into one

ASUS had earlier given us a preview of a device that incorporated a smartphone and a tablet. The Padfone has been officially announced today which is made up of a 4.3 inch smartphone and a 10.1 inch tablet.

The phone will have a Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 with 1GB of RAM and a 4.3 inch 960×540 Super AMOLED screen. When you dock the phone in to the tablet, it powers it up. The tablet has a 10.1 inch display, has various ports and uses the phone’s 8MP camera and has a front camera for video chats.

No info about the availability or price, so that leaves us nowhere once again. We’ll let you know if there is any more info about the Padfone.
