How to add a contact on your Android home screen [Beginner’s Guide]

One of the best things about the Android operating system is that it has a home screen. With the rise of apps which add to your productivity, you can place almost anything on the home screen of your Android device.

You can place shortcut to settings, apps and what not on the home screen by using the Widgets. Widgets are something that aren’t utilized properly by most of the users. Today we show you how to add a contact on your Android home screen using Widgets. Yes, we know that smartphones come with a dialer, but, having quick access to some important contacts is always good. Isn’t it?

How to add a contact on your Android home screen

Step 1: You don’t have to download any extra app to add a contact on your Android home screen. Just long press on the home screen and then tap on ‘Widgets‘.

After tapping on ‘Widgets’, you will presented with all the widgets available on your Android device. Search for the ‘Contact‘ widget and then touch and hold it to place it on the home screen.

Step 2: As soon as you place the ‘Contact’ widget on the home screen, you will be taken to the contacts list. Tap on the contact you want placed on the home screen.

You will now see that contact being added on the home screen of your Android device.
