The OnePlus 3, which was launched in June last year, got a mid-cycle refresh later in November in the form of OnePlus 3T. While the OnePlus 3T is only offered in Gunmetal and Soft Gold colors, latest buzz on the Internet suggest we might have another variant of the 3T incoming, which could be Midnight Black in color.
Evan Blass shared this above shown wallpaper on Twitter by tweeting “You know what this means, don’t you?“. Apart from this, no other information was shared by him. On another note, David Ruddock – Managing Editor of Android Police, also tweeted “I hear OnePlus could have a dark announcement some time soon. That it might even be as Black as Midnight?” to which OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei replied with a GIF of wolves.
Well, all this points out to the upcoming device sporting Midnight Black color. However, what’s unconfirmed is that fact that which device it will actually be. There have been rumors making rounds on the Internet suggesting OnePlus skipping the number 4 (as it’s considered unlucky in China) and launching OnePlus 5 instead. However, given the fact that company might launch the new device in June or July, it’s possible that OnePlus might launch a Midnight Black variant of the OnePlus 3T in the coming days.
Speaking of the wallpaper shared by Blass, it’s already available on the open beta update which was rolled out to the OnePlus 3T last week. There’s not much information available right now, however, we should learn more when OnePlus has some information to share.
