Last week Xiaomi teased an upcoming Redmi smartphone launch in India. While there was no confirmation about the announcement, the company just sent out press invites.
Xiaomi has sent out press invites for the upcoming Redmi launch event scheduled for May 16. While there is still no word about the smartphone, we believe that the company would unveil the Redmi 4 in India. However, we are not quite sure whether the company would unveil both the variants of the affordable handset.
While Xiaomi has already unveiled the Redmi 4A in India, the Redmi 4 would essentially be the successor to the Redmi 3s Prime. Based on that we expect the pricing to be hovering around the Rs. 7000 mark. Moreover, the company confirmed that the handset would be available exclusively on Amazon.
