The Internet is currently very much abuzz with the OnePlus 5 which is going to be unveiled on June 20. It has also been popping up on different benchmarking websites with different memory configurations. Well, amongst all that coverage of the OnePlus 5, to everyone’s surprise, the Google Pixel XL2 has made an appearance on a benchmarking website while revealing most of its specifications.
The Pixel XL2 has appeared on GFXBench along with most of its specifications. As expected from most of the flagships of this year, the Pixel XL2 is also powered by Qualcomm’s latest and greatest Snapdragon 835 SoC which is laced with 4 GB RAM and backed by Adreno 540 GPU.
GFXBench lists the Pixel XL2 with 5.6-inch display with a resolution of 2560 x 1312 pixels, however, we assume it might be 5.7-inch and not 5.6-inch. Moving on, the device has 128 GB of internal storage and has a 12 MP camera at the back along with a 7 MP snapper on the front. The device also has the usual connectivity features like Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, NFC and GPS.
Lastly, the Pixel XL2 is listed with Android 7.1.1 Nougat, however, by the time it’s launched, we expect it to be running Android O which is now confirmed to be Android 8.0. Apart from all these specifications, it’s also safe that the second-gen Pixel XL will come with a fingerprint scanner at the back, just like its predecessor, and speaking of the design, we won’t be surprised if Google goes with bezel-less design which is pretty much the trend right now.
For now, that’s all we know, however, we might see more of the second gen Pixel smartphones in the coming days, probably as we move closer to the final release of Android O.
