Primebook India has announced strong growth across both its hardware and software businesses for FY25-26, reporting an annual recurring revenue (ARR) of ₹85 crore, a 35% year-on-year revenue increase, and a 25% growth in its active user base. The company also revealed that it has sold more than 75,000 Primebook laptops to date, reflecting growing demand for affordable computing solutions among students, creators, freelancers, and young professionals.

The company significantly expanded its offline presence during the financial year as part of its omnichannel strategy. Primebook laptops are now available through more than 300 retail stores across India, helping the brand strengthen its reach beyond online channels and improve accessibility for customers nationwide.

Alongside hardware growth, Primebook continued to invest heavily in its software ecosystem. The company rolled out 8 major PrimeOS updates, introduced 10 new features, and deployed 6 security patches throughout FY25-26. Developed entirely in-house, PrimeOS remains one of Primebook’s key differentiators, offering an Android-based laptop experience designed for productivity, learning, communication, and entertainment.

User engagement within the PrimeOS ecosystem also remained strong during the year. According to a survey conducted among 1,000 Primebook users, the platform recorded an average daily usage time of 4.5 hours. The findings suggest that PrimeOS is increasingly becoming a primary computing platform for many users, supporting a wide range of activities from education and work to content consumption and gaming.

Based on download data from the Prime App Store, the most popular applications on PrimeOS during the year included PrimeBrowser, YouTube, WhatsApp, Disney+ Hotstar, and Google Docs. The company also highlighted gaming as a rapidly growing use case, driven by PrimeOS’ keymapping functionality that allows touch-based Android games to be played using a keyboard.

Commenting on the company’s performance, Primebook Co-Founder and CEO Chitranshu Mahant noted that consumer technology buying decisions are increasingly shifting toward practicality, long-term value, and real-world usability rather than brand familiarity alone. He added that Primebook has significantly reduced its monthly burn rate and is steadily progressing toward achieving positive EBITDA in the next financial year.

Looking ahead, Primebook plans to further expand its retail network, enhance PrimeOS with deeper AI integration, and transform the platform into an agentic operating system through advanced Operator AI capabilities. The company also confirmed that a new lineup of products is currently in development as part of its next phase of growth.
