Considering the widespread popularity, the follow up to Samsung Galaxy S II, the S II Plus is now available for sale in India and is surprisingly priced below the price of the S II.

The new Galaxy S II Plus is just an incremental upgrade over the Galaxy S II. Most of the specifications remain the same for both the phones. Like the GS II, the GS II Plus has a 4.3-inch Super AMOLED display. The GS II Plus is also powered by a 1.2 GHz dual core processor and has an 8 megapixel rear camera.

The only changes seen in the new Galaxy S II Plus is the direct update to Android Jelly Bean OS, along with the TouchWiz Nature user interface, which is also seen in the GS4. All the new features seen in the GS4 are expected in the new GS II Plus. The Galaxy S II Plus has just half of the storage as compared to the S II.

While the Galaxy S II Plus is priced at Rs. 23999, it is currently available online for Rs. 22990. Though in the same range as the S II, which is priced at Rs. 25900, the S II Plus is still cheaper.

Specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S II Plus:

  • 4.3 inch display
  • 800 x 480 pixels resolution
  • 1.2 GHz dual core processor
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 8 GB internal memory
  • Expandable memory up to 64 GB
  • 8 megapixel rear camera
  • Google Android v4.1 Jelly Bean
  • 1650 mAh battery
