After keeping many anxious Skype users waiting, Video Messaging is now fully functional and available on all platforms except the Windows Phone.
The Skype Video Messaging feature lets you leave video messages for someone who is offline. The message is delivered when they come online. The feature is compatible with both desktop versions and smartphones. As expected the Video Messaging service is completely free.
Interestingly, Microsoft has excluded the service from its own Windows Phone platform. While it’s hard to imagine the reason behind this, it’s highly likely that they are planning on integrating the service at a deeper level for the OS. But it would be unfair to keep the Windows Phone users without this service for too long.
