Announcing the new tariff structure for their ‘Pay as you Go’ internet services, Vodafone announced lowering of the rate from the existing 10p/10KB to 2p/10KB. The new rates are applicable to both its pre-paid and post-paid customers. These rates are currently introduced only in Karnataka, UP West and Madhya Pradesh & Chhattisgarh circles.

While the new policy is currently limited to a few telecom circles, it is soon expected to be rolled out all over India in a few weeks’ time. With the new rates, Vodafone is trying to bring cheaper internet access to its customers who use mobile internet in a limited way thus helping to increase the penetration of mobile internet services.
