Huawei had announced its 7 inch tablet the MediaPad with no confirmation about the pricing or the release date. Well now the company has announced that it will be available in Malaysia in the month of October and other countries including US, China, Hong Kong and Thailand will get it before year-end.
Just a reminder the MediaPad has a 7-inch display, Android 3.2 Honeycomb, a1.2GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon processor, front-facing 1.3-megapixel camera and a rear-facing 5-megapixel camera with autofocus and HD video capture, HDMI, Flash Player 10.3 support, HSPA+ 14.4Mbps connectivity, WiFi, Bluetooth, and 8GB internal storage expandable via the built-in microSD card slot. The price has been quoted by the company which comes around $473 USD.
The tablet would do great in India if the company plans to launch it here. Let’s hope they do as Huawei has many tie-ups in India already.
