The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 is the most recent iteration of the Samsung Galaxy Tab. There are two versions available – an 8-inch one and a 7-inch one. This one is the smaller and more affordable one of the series.
We managed to get our hands on the Wi-Fi + 3G Galaxy Tab 3 211.

Packaging
The packaging on the tablet is pretty simple. The one we got sadly came without earphones, it just came with a USB charger and data cable.
Body and Design
When it comes to the design, the Galaxy Tab 3 211 is a tad different from its 8-inch Galaxy Tab 3 311 sibling. It is a little thicker and the screen occupies less space on the device. Added to that the back is little plasticky.
Surprisingly, it still retains some charm. The device has a 1.3-megapixel camera and a speaker on top.
The form factor though is a little bit the same, the MicroSIM and MicroSD slot is located on one side while the volume rocker and power button is on the other side. The top has a 3.5-mm audio jack and the bottom is occupied with a couple of speakers along with the USB/charging port
The camera is located on the center of the upper back of the handset, although there is no LED flash.
Android and UI
The tablet comes equipped with Android 4.1.2 although we hope it will soon receive an Android update soon.
The UI is great and user-friendly. The icons are easily accessible while the app menu and widgets too are usable. The lock screen is easily usable.

Indoor Shot
The camera on the Galaxy Tab 3 211, performs average at the best. The 3-megapixel camera, works okay. There is no LED flash on board so indoor shots are a bit crappy.The outdoor shots aren’t too great too.
Along with that, the camera UI is the same one as the flagship handsets such as the Galaxy S4.
Multimedia
The tablet can play MP3, AAC, AMR, FLAC, MID, WMA, WAV and Vorbis audio formats and MPEG4, H.263, H.264, VC-1, DivX, and VP8 viddeo formats.
Performance
The tablet performs well on most counts. Our only trouble with it is that the tablet takes time to switch on. There were little lags but nothing worth mentioning.
There are some apps on board, although nothing out of the box. The tablet is endowed with modes such as driving and blocking mode.
On the Samsung front there is Game Hub, Chat On Samsung Link, Samsung apps, Samsung Voice, S Link, S calendar and S memo.

Apps such as Polaris office are also there.
It offers Wi-Fi, 3G and voice calling which is great.
The battery backup from the 4000 mAh battery is pretty good.
Conclusion
The Samsung Galaxy Tab 3 211 is a nice option on the market at a price of Rs. 17,499. The performance is great. The camera is okay and the form factor is okay.
