Recently there has been a confusing Sony handset named Xperia Z1S randomly showing up. While the exact nature of the device is not yet known, we seem to be getting new theories with every new leak.
While initially the Sony Xperia Z1S was supposed to be the mini version of the flagship Xperia Z1, a new leaked image provides a completely different perspective. The new image of the alleged Sony Xperia Z1S is compared to the Xperia Z1 and is surprisingly bigger than the Xperia Z1, thus raising doubts that this may be max version instead of the mini version.
The Sony Xperia Z1S was supposed to have the same the specs as the Xperia Z1, except for a smaller 4.3 inch 720p display. But the image leaked today shows a completely different picture. Further, while the earphone jack of the Sony Xperia Z1 is placed towards the edge, it placed right at the centre on this device. So there is a high possibility that the Sony Xperia Z1S is the Xperia Z1 Max, but until further confirmation it is still a rumour.
