Reports of an octa core powered successor of the Alcatel Idol X had surfaced a few months back and now the company has unveiled the smartphone along with a wearable accessory.

The Alcatel Idol X+ is the updated version of the Alcatel Idol X with a step up in specs. The device sports a 5 inch display with resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The device is the first from the company to feature the recently released octa core MediaTek processor supported by 2 GB of Ram and 16 GB of internal storage. The smartphone also supports 4G LTE connectivity.
The Alcatel Idol X+: has a massive 13 MP rear facing camera with LED flash and aperture of f/2.0. Not just the smartphone, but the company also announced a Bluetooth wristband called the Boom Band which acts as a proximity alarm and activity tracker. The device along with the wristband is priced at just $330, however it is not known if it would cross the borders of China.
