Having too many gadgets around is not a luxury, but a necessity nowadays. You might have a PC, a smartphone and a tablet at your disposal and while all of them have their own functions to dispense, keeping them charged is definitely a hassle. How about using one device to charge the other two? The seed smartphone concept is just that.

Seed smartphone concept

The Seed concept, designed by University of Cape Town student Nick Rout, lets you charge your devices using a smartphone. The concept, basically explained is a concept where a smartphone docks into your devices and provides them power. For example, a smartphone can be docked into a PC with the help of magnets which will hold it in place. Not only will your smartphone provide power to your PC, it will also allow your smartphone to double up as a touchpad for your PC. It will also be able to mirror your  apps across devices.

So, what kind of smartphone will be usable with the Seed smartphone concept? It will work with a specialized smartphone that comes with a 4.5-inch 720p touchscreen display,  Gorilla Glass protection, quad-core Snapdragon CPU, Adreno 420 GPU, 4 GB RAM, 128 GB storage, a 13-megapixel snapper and a 2400 mAh battery. A tablet too is in the works, and it will come with a full HD 8-inch screen and 4400 mAh battery.

This concept is better elucidated in this video.

Seed is depending on crowd funding to bring this concept to the masses. Click on the link
