Microsoft recently announced new partners for Windows Phone and one of them was the popular Indian manufacturer, Micromax. Microsoft even showed off a Micromax Windows Phone device at Build Conference. Today, we have more info on an upcoming Micromax Windows Phone device, thanks to @leaksterinc.
According to the leakster, an affordable Micromax Windows Phone device with some high end specs is all set to be launched in July. The specs have also been revealed. The alleged Micromax smartphone is said to feature a 5-inch Full HD (1920x1080p) display and it’ll be powered by the very powerful Snapdragon 800 processor coupled with 2 GB RAM.
Other specifications include a 13 MP primary camera, 5 MP front facing cam, a 2600 mAh battery, 16 GB internal storage along with microSD expansion up to 64 GB. The price is said to be around Rs. 23-25,000 (~$420).
We’ll suggest you to take this leak with a pinch of salt but all of this surely seems plausible. If this is indeed true then Micromax and Microsoft might have a winner at their hands because at the mentioned price, the specs are really great. Windows Phone is already quite popular in India and a Micromax Windows Phone should surely add to that. We’ll have to wait for an official confirmation but here’s hoping, this leak is indeed true.
