Sony just announced the Xperia Z3 flagship at the IFA conference in Berlin today and the Japanese company has also announced the Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, which like the Z1 Compact brings the high-end specs in a compact body.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact features a design similar to its bigger sibling. The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact features a 4.6-inch TRILUMINOS IPS display of HD (1280x720p) resolution and it’s powered by the same 2.5 GHz Quad-core Snapdragon 801 processor with 2 GB RAM. The compact yet well specced device will come with 16 GB internal storage and microSD expansion up to 128 GB.
The camera on the Z3 Compact is also the same as the Z3. There’s the 20.7 MP rear camera with LED flash and a 2.2 MP front-facing camera. The device runs on Android 4.4 KitKat with Sony’s interface. A 2600 mAh battery keeps the device running. Along with the Z3, the Z3 Compact also features the PS4 Remote Play feature. The device also features the same IP65/68 rating for water and dust resistance. The connectivity is well covered with 4G LTEWiFi 820.11 a/b/g/n/ac , Bluetooth 4.0 with APT-X, GPS/ GLONASS, MHL and NFC.
The Sony Xperia Z3 Compact will come White, Black, Orange and Green color variants. Sony hasn’t revealed the pricing and availability of the device but we’ll let you know as soon as we get to know.
