HTC has just launched its One M9 flagship and the company has also unveiled its very first wearable device. The HTC Grip is the company’s very first foray into the budding wearable market. The device is not a smartwatch but it’s a fitness tracking band.

HTC Grip 1

The HTC Grip comes from the the company’s Connected Product Business division that brought us the interesting HTC Re. The Grip is a fruition of the partnership between the company has Under Armour. The band features a branding of Under Armour and it uses the UA record system, which lets the device keep count of your runs and workouts.

HTC Grip 2

The HTC Grip features five sensors to know all about your health related activities. The device features a curved display and comes in matte black finish with colorful interiors. The band is also water resistant, so you won’t have to worry about wearing it while you go for swimming.

HTC Grip 3

It comes with various fitness tracking modes, which includes a special “multi sport mode” and more. Along with all the fitness tracking capailities, the HTC Grip comes with alarms, stopwatch, timer and it will also display notifications from the paired smartphone.

While HTC is yet to reveal the price, we expect it to be around $199. It’s main competitor is the Microsoft Band and we’ll have to see how that pans out.
