Just a month after unveiling the Lumia 640, Microsoft is now gearing up to launch the smartphones in India.
Microsoft has sent out press invites for an upcoming launch event scheduled for April 7. The invite just has the tagline “Inspiration doesn’t only work 9 to 5!” and doesn’t mention any phone in specific. While there is no handset named specifically, our best guess is that we would see the Lumia 640 and the Lumia 640XL at the event.
While there is no official word about the pricing, sources in the know believe that the Lumia 640 would be priced below the Rs. 10000 price point. Interestingly, sources claim that the two handsets could be sold exclusively through Flipkart. We are awaiting an official confirmation on this. We should have more details at the launch event.
