Xiaomi has announced a price cut for the Redmi Note 4G in India. The company is offering a discount of Rs. 2000, down the effective price to Rs. 7999 from the original launch price of Rs. 9999. The company claims that the reduced costs have helped to slash the prices of the handset.

The Redmi Note 4G boasts about being the first dual-band 4G device to be launched in India under Rs. 10000. The company had also recently slashed prices of the Mi 4. The company is exploring new ways to capture the exploding smartphone market in India.
