While Google announced that the Nexus smartphones would be getting the latest Android Marshmallow update, Motorola has now announced that many of its devices would soon receive the update.

Android-Marshmallow-new

Motorola has announced that many of its devices would be getting the latest Android Marshmallow update once it is ready. The company has revealed that the Moto X (2nd gen, 3rd gen), Moto X Style, Moto X Play, Moto X Pure Edition, Moto G (2nd gen, 3rd gen), DROID Turbo, Moto MAXX and Moto Turbo would be the first in line to receive the update.

While Motorola hasn’t revealed the timeline for the rollout of the updates, it has clearly mentioned that it would release the updates only when it is ready completely. Surprisingly, the Moto E series has been completely left out and so are the first generation handsets of the Moto X and Moto G, but we can expect them all to get an update at a later date.
