WhatsApp is expected to roll out voicemail, call-back and ZIP file sharing feature. But, those are not the only features one should expect. Looks like WhatsApp is working on native clients of WhatsApp Messenger for Windows and Mac OS X desktop operating systems.
Twitter account of WABetaInfo which keeps up with all the latest updates and changes to the WhatsApp Messenger shared a screenshot which hints at the possibility of WhatsApp rolling out native chat clients for Windows and Mac OS X, both of which are desktop operating systems.
The screenshot indicates download button for native client of Windows and Mac OS X. However, if you have translated for WhatsApp, you will be quick to note that this screenshot is of WhatsApp’s translation page.
If WhatsApp really rolls out a native client for both these desktop operating systems, it would be interesting to see their working mechanism because your WhatsApp messages are stored locally on your device storage. This is the reason why you need to keep your device connected to the Internet when you are using WhatsApp Web, because the messages from your device are synced with WhatsApp Web.
