Last month, at the launch of the MiUI 8, Xiaomi had mentioned that beta ROMs of the MiUI 8 would be released on June 17. Now the beta version is available for download.
The Xiaomi MiUI 8 open beta version is now available for download for major Xiaomi devices. The company has currently listed builds Mi 2, Mi 2S, Mi 3, Mi 4, Mi 5, Mi Note and Mi Max. Users need to download the ROM and manually flash it on their device. The files weigh in between 0.7 GB right up to 1.4 GB depending on the device.
Given that Xiaomi seems to be sticking to the schedule, we can expect the Developer ROM to be available by June 17. Further that would also add the Mi 4C, Mi Note and other Redmi handsets to the list of devices.
