Huawei Honor 8 certified by TENAA

The Honor 7 was announced last year, and now, it looks like we will soon be seeing its successor. The reason for saying so is that the Honor 8 has received TENAA certification, which means a China launch is imminent. The TENAA listing has also revealed its specs and images.

As can be seen in the image above, the Honor 8 sports a bezel-less look. It has a 5.2-inch Full-HD display and carries Honor moniker below it. Above the display is an 8 MP secondary camera. At the back is a 12 MP dual camera along flash and there’s a fingerprint scanner sitting right below it.

At the left of the device is the SIM card and microSD card slot whereas the volume rocker and power button are located at the right side. The antenna lines are also visible on the both the sides.

According to the TENAA listing, the Honor 8 is powered by a 2.3 GHz octa-core processor which is expected to be Kirin 950. It also 4 GB RAM along with 32 GB of internal storage. The external storage can be expanded up to 128 GB via microSD card. The device listed on TENAA runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow, but, at the time launch, it may run on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow out of the box. Powering the entire package is a 2900 mAh battery.
