HTC One X+ announced with 1.7 GHz Tegra 3, 64 GB memory, 2100 mAh battery, Android 4.1 JB

Settling all the rumours and leaks that we have seen in the past few days, HTC has today officially announced the HTC One X+ which is the refreshed version of HTC’s One X smartphone and arrives with increased performance, longer battery life and expanded internal storage.

The leaks and rumours proved to be spot on and as expected the HTC One X+ arrives with a new and powerful 1.7 GHz Tegra 3 quad-core processor supported by 1 GB of RAM.
Official specifications of the HTC One X+ are as follows:
  • 4.7 inch Super LCD 2 display with 720p resolution
  • 1.7 GHz Tegra 3 quad core processor
  • 1 GB RAM
  • 64 GB internal memory
  • 8 MP camera with LED Flash
  • 1.6 MP front facing camera
  • Android 4.1 Jelly Bean OS
  • HTC Sense 4+
  • Beats Audio
  • 2100 mAh battery

The camera of the HTC One X+ arrives with two new modes: a Self Portrait mode which helps you capture HQ photos using the front camera as it detects the human face at various angles and applies subtle enhancements to skin and eyes. Next is the Sightseeing mode which allows you to quickly launch the camera app.

HTC has announced that the One X+ is arriving with Android 4.1 Jelly Bean with HTC’s Sense 4+ UI which brings in new features like “Tap and Go” which allows you to connect the phone and your music to Beats speakers’ when you tap them. To disconnect, it is just another quick tap.
The HTC One X+ will be available in Europe and North Asia from October and in South Asia from November 2012. No details on pricing of the smartphone have been revealed.
