Samsung launched the Galaxy A7 (2016) last year in December, and now it seems that the South Korean giant has already started working on the 2017 variant of the Galaxy A7. The Galaxy A7 (2017) has popped up on GFXBench along with its specifications.

The Samsung Galaxy A7 (2017) that has been listed on GFXBench carries model number SM-A720x. It is powered by an octa-core processor which is clocked at 1.8 GHz and paired with 3 GB RAM and Mali-T830 GPU.

The device boasts off a 5.5-inch Full-HD display and comes with 32 GB of internal storage. Surprisingly, a device which might be launched at the end of 2016 or the beginning of 2017 is still running on Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow. Well, this might just be the prototype and we might actually see the final product running on Android 7.0 Nougat.

Talking about the cameras, GFXBench lists the device with a 16 MP rear camera and a 16 MP front camera. Well, at this time, we are not sure whether this an error on GFXBench’s part, or, there actually is a 16 MP camera module on the front. If there is, this will be a huge upgrade from the 5 MP front snapper that we saw on the Galaxy A7 (2016).

We expect the Galaxy A7 (2017) to surface on TENAA as well which will give us a look at the design of the device.
