Bharti Airtel has today announced that the pan-India operator has finally reached the tough terrains of Kargil in Jammu & Kashmir making it the first private telecom operator to offer mobile connectivity in the region.

Airtel-Logo-White-NewWith this, Airtel now offers seamless voice & data connectivity to all the 22 districts of Jammu & Kashmir.

Though pan-India operator, BSNL does operate its services in the Kargil region but the connectivity is not top notch which happens to pose a great difficulty to the people living in the area and the many tourist visiting the place round the year.

We all do know that Kargil witnesses some extreme weather conditions and the has some bad and rough terrains and thus Airtel has extended connectivity to the region through VSAT links and specially designed telecom infrastructure which can be adjusted as per the need in case of any unprecedented weather condition.

It is indeed good to see that the farthest destination on the network coverage map of Jammu & Kashmir now have better connectivity than before.
