While Google unveiled the new Android version at the recent Google I/O 2015 Conference, the company named it with just the placeholder ‘M’. Now finally we might be close to getting the actual name.
Google has released a new video titled “What’s M Gonna Be?” The video starts with all the previous versions names starting from Cupcake and ending with Lollipop. It then lists out a host of possibilities for M which include Marshmallows, Milkshake, Muffin, Maple Syrup, Marzipan, Macaroon, M&M, Moon Pie etc. the video also suggests that we should be getting the answer as soon as next week.
Interestingly towards the very end of the video, appear the Android mascot’s body which is getting spray painted white. This clearly hints that it could be Marshmallow. But going by the previous instances, this could just be the company’s attempts to get us guessing wrong (Remember what happened with KitKat?). However, since the wait is almost over, we should soon get to know the real name. What do you think it’s gonna be?
