Apple has increased the prices of several older iPhone models in India following the introduction of the iPhone 18 Pro series. Instead of reducing the prices of previous-generation models, as is typically seen during the product cycle transition, Apple has raised the MRPs of the iPhone 16, iPhone 17, iPhone 17e and iPhone Air. The price revisions affect multiple storage configurations, with increases ranging from ₹15,000 to ₹65,000 depending on the model and storage variant.

Should You Buy an iPhone Now?
Although Apple has increased the official MRP, third-party retailers often sell iPhones at lower prices during major sales. Upcoming festive-season sales, including Flipkart’s Big Billion Days and the Amazon Great Indian Festival, could therefore offer discounts compared with Apple’s revised MRP.
If you are planning to purchase one of these iPhone models, it may be worth waiting for the upcoming festive sales rather than paying the new official MRP immediately.
