With Apple promoting the latest flagship in India, the company has slashed the prices of the Apple iPhone 5S.
Apple has announced a massive price cut for the Apple iPhone 5S in India. With the new price in effect, the handset which was launched for Rs. 53500, would now retail at just Rs. 24999, thus offering a massive discount of over 50 percent. However, the prices of the handset are already way lower on many online portals.
The Apple iPhone 5S is currently retailing at Rs. 21935 on Flipkart and Rs. 21499 on Amazon and Snapdeal. Interestingly, the handset is said account for nearly 50 percent of the total iPhone sales locally. Based on this, we can assume that Apple is now trying to target the mid-tier segment with the price cut.
