Add MobiGyaan as a preferred source on GoogleAmazon Web Services and OpenAI have announced a major expansion of their partnership, enabling OpenAI’s frontier AI models and agents to run directly on Amazon Bedrock. The collaboration is aimed at delivering enterprise-grade AI capabilities with strong security, governance, and scalability for production workloads.

The expansion introduces three key offerings in a limited preview, giving enterprises direct access to OpenAI technology within AWS infrastructure.
1. OpenAI Models on Amazon Bedrock
For the first time, organizations can access OpenAI models via Amazon Bedrock alongside other providers like Anthropic, Meta, and Mistral. Key advantages include:
- Unified Environment: Manage, fine-tune, and deploy models from a single platform
- Enterprise Security: IAM-based access control, AWS PrivateLink, Encryption (at rest & in transit), and Logging via CloudTrail
- Financial Integration: OpenAI usage counts toward existing AWS cloud commitments
This simplifies adoption without requiring new infrastructure or security models.
2. Codex on Amazon Bedrock
OpenAI Codex is now available within AWS environments, enabling developers to build and automate code at scale. Highlights include:
- Used by 4+ million developers weekly
- Integrated with AWS authentication and infrastructure
- Available via Bedrock API, Codex CLI, Desktop app, and Visual Studio Code extension
Benefits:
- Seamless enterprise integration
- Scalable coding workflows
- Consolidated billing within AWS
3. Amazon Bedrock Managed Agents (Powered by OpenAI)
AWS has introduced Managed Agents, combining OpenAI’s agentic AI with AWS infrastructure. Key capabilities include:
- Execute multi-step tasks with memory and reasoning
- Operate with unique identity and permissions
- Full audit logging for compliance
- Run entirely inside AWS environments
Scale:
- Designed to support hundreds of thousands of agents
- Optimized for enterprise workloads
Bedrock AgentCore: The Infrastructure Backbone
To support large-scale deployments, AWS is highlighting Bedrock AgentCore, an open platform for agent orchestration.
Features:
- Authorization and policy enforcement
- Agent discovery and management
- Observability and performance tracking
- Evaluation metrics for AI systems
AgentCore acts as the default compute layer for Managed Agents.

This partnership reflects a major shift in enterprise AI adoption – integration of frontier AI into enterprise cloud environments, reduced friction in deploying advanced AI systems, and strong alignment with security, compliance, and governance needs. It also strengthens Amazon Web Services‘ position as a multi-model AI platform, while expanding OpenAI‘s reach into enterprise infrastructure.
