BSNL launches 3G network

After a lot of delays,3G services were finally inaugurated in Chennai which is located in the southern part of India on BSNL network. The inauguration ceremony was handled by the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu State and the first 3G call was made by Mr. Raju,the minister for Information and Broadcasting.

These 3G services will be available only on BSNL as of now. There is no news on other operator’s plans to go for these services. Before BSNL,MTNL launched 3G services on its netowrk in the month of December 2008. Even this launch from BSNL is a delayed launch, the company was supposed to launch it in the month of December but MTNL got it before them.With 3G services up and running, users will enjoy benefits like,

* Video conferencing
* Rich Multimedia experience
* Video on demand
* Internet speeds upto 2mbps
* Faster video streaming
* Mobile Gaming
