Foursquare for Android gets updated; Easier to explore new places

To the Foursquare fans, who use the app to check-in at places and discover new places, its update time. And with this update it’s going to be even easier to find the best stuff nearby. The newly announced updates has three major changes that will make the user very happy.

For those who use the foursquare app as a map utility, this update has an easier search with the Explore button on the home screen making it easy for you to locate a place of your choice. The ‘Best Nearby’ lists the options closest to your search entry.

This update makes foursquare even more social with the start screen showing a map with the check-ins of your foursquare friends thus giving you an idea about their activity and a chance to hang out together.

The tabs at the top of the screen have been replaced by a drawer at the top left corner of the screen. Your profile, to-do lists and settings can be accessed via the drawer in just one tap. The check-in button also has been shifted to the bottom left corner.
