Google has announced the rollout of Search Profiles, a new feature designed to help creators and publishers manage how they appear across Google Search and Google Discover. The new capability provides a dedicated public profile where creators can showcase their latest content, social accounts, websites, and online presence in one centralized destination.

According to Google, Search Profiles are intended to improve content discovery while making it easier for audiences to follow creators and publishers directly through Google’s ecosystem.
The feature is initially launching in the United States and is currently available to eligible creators aged 18 years and older who meet specific follower requirements across supported social media platforms.
What are Google Search Profiles?
Search Profiles serve as a dedicated and shareable hub that brings together a creator’s online presence, including articles, videos, social posts, websites, and other important content.
The profile can be accessed through:
- Google Search knowledge panels
- Google Discover
- Direct profile URLs
Google says the goal is to help creators and publishers establish a stronger identity across Search while making it easier for users to discover and engage with their content.
Users can either claim an existing profile automatically generated by Google or create a new profile by linking supported social media accounts.
Customizable creator hub
Once created, Search Profiles allow creators to personalize several elements, including:
- Profile avatar
- Bio and description
- Official website
- Social media accounts
- Video platform links
- Featured content and updates
The feature is designed to act as a centralized destination where audiences can learn more about creators and access their latest work without having to search across multiple platforms.
Eligibility requirements
Google has introduced minimum audience thresholds to access Search Profiles.
Creators must have at least:
| Platform | Minimum Followers |
|---|---|
| YouTube | 100,000 |
| 100,000 | |
| X | 100,000 |
| TikTok | 300,000 |
Users only need to meet the requirement on at least one supported platform to become eligible.
Integration with Google Knowledge Panels
One of the most significant aspects of Search Profiles is its integration with Google’s Knowledge Graph.
According to Google, claiming a Search Profile may automatically trigger the creation of a Google Knowledge Panel.
For creators who already have a Knowledge Panel, Google will enhance it with:
- Updated profile information
- New profile avatar
- Recent content
- Direct Search Profile link
This integration is designed to provide richer creator information directly within Google Search results.
How to create a Search Profile
Eligible creators can set up a Search Profile by following these steps:
- Visit profile.google.com/claim
- Sign in using a Google Account
- Connect at least one eligible content platform account
- Verify follower eligibility
- Click Create Profile
Google also recommends checking whether a profile has already been generated by visiting profile.google.com or searching for your name on Google Search and checking the associated Knowledge Panel.
Expanding creator discovery
The launch reflects Google’s broader efforts to strengthen creator discovery and provide more direct visibility tools within Search and Discover.
By bringing content, social platforms, and identity information together in a single profile, Search Profiles aims to help creators build stronger audiences while giving users a more streamlined way to discover and follow creators across the web.
Google says additional capabilities are already in development, and the company plans to expand Search Profiles to more creators, publishers, and markets over time.
