Add MobiGyaan as a preferred source on GoogleHMD Global has officially confirmed the launch of the HMD Vibe 2 5G in India on 21st May. The company has also shared a teaser image revealing the smartphone’s rear design and a new Cosmic Lavender color option. The upcoming smartphone will succeed last year’s HMD Vibe 5G and is expected to expand the company’s budget and mid-range smartphone lineup in India.
The teaser highlights a redesigned rear camera module with a dual-camera layout and a glossy lavender finish. HMD has not yet revealed the complete specifications of the 5G model, but earlier reports suggest that the company may also introduce an HMD Vibe 2 4G variant alongside it. According to previous leaks, the HMD Vibe 2 4G model could feature:
- 6.75-inch HD+ LCD display
- 90 Hz refresh rate
- UNISOC T7200 CPU
- 4 GB RAM
- 128 GB OR 256 GB storage options
- microSD card expansion support
- 50 MP primary rear camera
- 2 MP secondary rear camera
- 5 MP front camera
- 5,000 mAh battery
- 10W charging support
The 4G model is also rumored to launch in Titanium Black and Titanium Light color options. Reports suggest that the HMD Vibe 2 5G may retain a similar design language while offering upgraded internal hardware and 5G connectivity.
Recently, HMD also announced actor and entertainer Raghav Juyal as the brand ambassador for its smartphone lineup in India. More details regarding specifications, pricing, and availability are expected to be revealed closer to the launch event on 21st May 2026.
