To browse SD card without a file manager, open Google Chrome and type the following in the address bar.

  • file:///sdcard/

If you reading this from the Chrome already, just click the link or copy and paste in your browser.

The moment you open the link, you will see the contents of your storage inside the window. You can browse the contents you saved in storage. All the files and directories can be found here, and surprisingly, without a file manager. Cool, isn’t it?

Using other browsers like Firefox

Type the following in the address bar:

  • file:///storage/

This will let you view both the storage mediums, internal storage and external SD card present on your Android.
