Unknown HTC smartphone surfaces online with Snapdragon 625 SoC and Android 8.0 Oreo
A new unknown HTC smartphone has appeared online. While we are not sure as to exactly which smartphone this is, we do know that it’s a mid-range smartphone. This new HTC smartphone has appeared on popular benchmarking site Geekbench, and, it’s being listed as HTC 2Q5W1.
This unknown HTC smartphone made a score of 770 and 3898 points in Geekbench’s single and multi-core tests. It has been listed on Geekbench with Snapdragon 625 SoC that’s clocked at 1.80 GHz, and, is paired with 3 GB of RAM.
The listing of HTC 2Q5W1 on Geekbench further reveals that it runs Android 8.0 Oreo, however, in all likelihood, it will be layered with HTC’s Sense UI atop. Well, as always, there’s not much information about this unknown smartphone available on Geekbench, hence, we will have to wait for it to pop-up on other benchmarking sites like AnTuTu or GFXBench to know more about it.
We might see HTC launching this smartphone later this month at MWC 2018 in Barcelona, Spain. However, the company might also launch this smartphone at a separate event, either before or after MWC. Whatever it is, we expect to know more about this smartphone in the coming weeks.
