Idea Cellular has expanded its 3G network and now covers 236 towns across 23 districts in Gujarat and 3 Union Territories. Idea’s ‘Gold Standard’ 3G services has added about 5 lakh users on its 3G network and the company has set up a network of around 1400 3G sites to reach out to urban & semi-urban heartlands covering major industrial, agricultural and educational pockets in Gujarat. Idea’s 3G services are now available in major cities like Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot & Gandhinagar and 231 other smaller cities and towns in Gujarat.
Speaking about the expansion of 3G services, Mr. Arul Bright, Chief Operating Officer – Gujarat, Idea Cellular said, “Idea has been continuously enhancing 3G coverage across the state by adding sites every day, making us the highest penetrated 3G operator in the circle. To promote the usage of 3G, Idea has introduced a range of products and promotional offers in Gujarat including the ‘Double Dhamaka’ offer, mobile internet and data card 3G packs starting from Rs. 9 up to Rs. 5,000, time based recharges, Wi-Fi Router, etc.
