Idea has been constantly engaging the smartphone industry and expanding its portfolio of 3G smartphones. Now the company has launched two new phones – the Idea Magna and the Idea Magna L.
Idea Cellular has announced the launch of the Idea Magna and the Idea Magna L, which are the company’s latest affordable offerings. The Idea Magna has a small 4 inch display with a dual core processor, whereas the Idea Magna L has a slightly bigger 4.5 inch display with a quad core processor. Both are equipped with a 5 MP rear facing camera and a front facing VGA camera.
The Idea Magna is priced at Rs. 4999 whereas the Idea Magna L is priced at Rs. 6250. Both the phones come bundled with 16 GB 3G data, worth Rs. 3200 on recharge of Rs. 261. Users would get 4 GB of 3G data monthly for a period of four months along with free subscription of Idea TV.
Speaking about the new smartphones, Sashi Shankar, Chief Marketing Officer, Idea Cellular said, “3G adoption is greatly dependent on pricing of 3G smartphones and data plans. By bundling 16 GB 3G data with our entire range of smartphones, we have brought down the total cost of owning a smartphone, and 3G connection, by over 50%. With the new range of Magna and Magna L, 2G users can conveniently upgrade to 3G by paying as low as Rs. 4,999 and acquiring a stylish 3G smartphone with 16 GB data.”
