Infinix has launched its latest budget smartphone in India – the Infinix Smart 20, expanding the company’s Smart series lineup in the country. Positioned as an affordable everyday smartphone, the device brings a large 120 Hz display, MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate processor, 5,200 mAh battery, IP64-rated durability, and several software-based productivity and communication features aimed at first-time smartphone buyers and budget-conscious consumers.
The Infinix Smart 20 succeeds the Smart 10 and introduces a refreshed design language alongside hardware upgrades across the display, battery, and performance departments. Highlights include a 6.78-inch 120 Hz display, Dynamic Bar notifications, UltraLink offline communication technology, Android 16-based XOS 16, and support for up to 2 TB expandable storage.
One of the key highlights of the smartphone is its slim profile. Despite housing a large battery, the device measures just 7.7mm in thickness and weighs 189 grams. The rear panel features a flat 3D Texture Composite design, while the front adopts a modern punch-hole display layout. The smartphone is available in Sunlike Orange, Cloudline Blue, Shadow Black, and Polaris Titanium color options.
The Infinix Smart 20 sports a large 6.78-inch HD+ display with a 120 Hz refresh rate, offering smoother scrolling, animations, and gaming experiences compared to conventional 60 Hz panels. The screen also supports up to 700 nits High Brightness Mode (HBM), improving outdoor visibility under bright sunlight conditions.
Infinix has also integrated its Dynamic Bar feature into the display interface. Similar to dynamic notification systems found on premium smartphones, the feature displays charging status, alerts, call information, and other system notifications around the front camera cutout.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Helio G81 Ultimate processor. Built for everyday multitasking, media consumption, and casual gaming, the chipset is paired with 4 GB LPDDR4X RAM and up to 128 GB internal storage. The device also supports Infinix’s MemFusion technology, which can virtually expand RAM using unused storage resources for improved multitasking performance. Storage can be expanded by up to 2 TB through a dedicated microSD card slot.
For photography, the Infinix Smart 20 features an 8 MP rear camera paired with a secondary AI sensor and dual-LED flash. The camera system supports several software-based photography features, including Super Night Mode, VLOG Mode, AI Scene Optimization, and Dual Video recording. On the front, the device houses an 8 MP selfie camera positioned inside the centered punch-hole cutout for selfies, video calls, and social media content creation.
The smartphone packs a 5,200 mAh battery designed to comfortably last through a full day of usage. Charging support includes 15W wired fast charging as well as 5W reverse wired charging, allowing users to charge compatible accessories and secondary devices directly from the smartphone.
The smartphone runs XOS 16 based on Android 16, bringing the latest software experience along with Infinix’s custom features and optimizations. One of the unique additions is UltraLink, Infinix’s offline communication technology. The feature enables walkie-talkie-style communication between compatible Infinix smartphones over distances of up to 1 kilometer, even without cellular network connectivity.
Additional features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner, stereo speakers with DTS audio enhancement, FM Radio support, an infrared sensor, Smart Noise Cancellation for clearer calls, and an IP64 dust and splash resistance rating for improved durability during everyday use.
