Reliance Industries Limited (RIL) unveiled a series of major digital service innovations during its 49th Annual General Meeting (AGM), focusing heavily on agentic artificial intelligence, next-generation broadband infrastructure, and AI-powered consumer experiences. The announcements include the new Jio Call Agent, an AI-driven upgrade to the MyJio app, multi-gigabit Jio Home broadband, and a new residential AI platform called Jio TeleFrame.

Jio Call Agent Brings AI Directly Into Phone Calls
One of the most notable announcements was Jio Call Agent, an AI assistant built directly into Jio’s telecom network. Unlike traditional AI apps, the service works natively during voice calls and can be activated using the wake phrase “Hey Jio.”
The AI-powered call assistant supports multiple Indian languages and introduces several productivity-focused features:
- Real-time call transcription
- Recognition of up to 10 speakers in conference calls
- Automatic call summaries
- Action item generation
- Reminder creation and sharing
- Live task execution during calls
Users can also instruct the assistant to perform tasks such as ordering food, booking rides, reserving tables, or scheduling meetings while the call is ongoing.
Jio plans to roll out the feature gradually to its subscriber base of over 500 million users later this year.

MyJio Becomes a Conversational AI Platform
Reliance also announced a major transformation of the MyJio application, which currently serves more than 600 million users.
The platform is evolving into MyJio.AI Care, replacing traditional menu-based navigation with a conversational AI interface. Users will be able to complete tasks using natural voice commands instead of navigating through multiple menus.
The AI assistant will be capable of:
- Self-KYC automation
- eSIM activation
- International roaming recommendations
- Account migrations during relocation
- Plan management and upgrades
- Customer support workflows
Reliance emphasized that all automated actions will remain consent-based and require explicit user approval.

Jio Home Upgraded With Multi-Gigabit Broadband
Reliance also announced an upgraded version of JioAirFiber, bringing multi-gigabit connectivity to residential users.
The new service tier offers:
- Up to 5 Gbps download speeds
- Up to 1 Gbps upload speeds
According to the company, the higher bandwidth is designed to support emerging use cases such as:
- 8K video streaming
- Cloud gaming
- Spatial computing
- Smart home ecosystems
- Real-time volumetric content creation

15-Minute Response and 24-Hour Installation Promise
To simplify broadband deployment, Jio has introduced a new service commitment framework.
Key highlights include:
- 15-minute callback guarantee after registration
- 24-hour broadband installation promise anywhere in India
Customers can register through the website, MyJio app, or missed-call services.
Jio TeleFrame: AI Operating System for Homes
Alongside broadband upgrades, Reliance introduced Jio TeleFrame, a voice-first AI operating system designed specifically for connected homes.
TeleFrame serves as a centralized AI platform that powers multiple specialized household agents capable of assisting with:
- Smart home control
- Guest management
- Entertainment recommendations
- Shopping assistance
- Daily household routines
The system supports multiple Indian languages and uses contextual awareness to provide personalized assistance without requiring users to manually navigate apps or menus.
Jio’s AI Vision Expands Beyond Connectivity
With the introduction of network-native AI services, conversational customer care, multi-gigabit broadband, and a dedicated AI operating system for homes, Reliance is positioning Jio as more than a telecom provider. The company is aiming to create an integrated AI ecosystem spanning communications, broadband, home automation, and digital services for millions of users across India.
