We reviewed the Lenovo Vibe Z a couple of months back and we loved the device. Today, we have some great news for all Lenovo Vibe Z (and Vibe X) owners. Lenovo has announced that both the devices will get the Android 4.4 KitKat update next month, that is May.

Lenovo has also announced that they are slashing the price of the Vibe X. The device will now retail for Rs. 22,999. The Vibe X went on sale in India last year for Rs. 25,999.

The update will bring several improvements to both the devices along with Android 4.4. KitKat features. The update will bring improved support for apps compatibility, security enhancements, improved incoming call interface and other UI improvements, camera improvements in the form of better autofocus and white balance capabilities, updated Lenovo Power Manager and numerous bug fixes.

The KitKat update for the Vibe Z will bring improved 4K video playback, better processing for enhanced UI transitions and multisensory user experience, improved multi-window mode, updated notification access, wireless printing, updated theme centre, automatic profile changer and more.

The update will roll out gradually to both the devices and the roll out will start from the last week of May. So, expect the update to reach all phones by April. We’ll let you know when the update reaches the Vibe Z and X.
