LG had crossed the 4 million LTE smartphones sale-point back in July and in just a month the company managed to sell another 1 million LTE smartphones which calculates to one LTE smartphone roughly every two and a half seconds.

It was back in May last year when LG released its first LTE smartphone back in the US called the Revolution and later expanded the market worldwide. And currently there are over ten LTE smartphone that the company sells in markets which LTE services are available.

Out of the 5 million LTE smartphones sold by LG, the Optimus LTE remains the most popular with about 2 million devices sold worldwide. While the latest offering from LG is the Optimus Vu which is a 5 inch smartphone from the company and has gone on to sell more than 500,000 units since it was launched back in March this year.

Not to forget about the Optimus LTE II, the device went on to create a record of selling 500,000 in a matter of just 70 days from the day it launched. And if you forgot, LTE II is the first smartphone to arrive with a powerful 2 GB RAM.

With the LTE fever soon to spread in India with roll outs expected by the end of the year, we could see major LTE smartphones from LG to land into the Indian subcontinent which could be a great market for the company.
