Motorola has been applauded for releasing software updates on time even for its budget range devices. Once again the company has taken the lead to release the latest Lollipop update.
Motorola has announced the release of the Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Moto E (first gen). The update, bearing build number 23.21.15, would be rolled out to users over-the-air (OTA). As such Moto E users can expect the update to reach their phone by this weekend. The users can manually check for the update by going to Settings -> About phone -> Software update.
The Android 5.1 Lollipop update for the Moto E brings further improvements to the Material Design UI. There is also improved Notifications UI & Priorities, Interruptions & Downtime Settings, Multi-tasking using Recent Apps, Ambient Display feature and other general performance related improvements.
Commenting on the release, Motorola India said, “We are excited to announce a new software update for Moto E (1st Gen.) by Motorola. This update brings Android 5.1 Lollipop to your phone along with other improvements.”
