MTNL (Mumbai) Launches iPlayer Video on Demand Services

mtnl-mobiletvMahanagar Telephone Nigam (MTNL) today announced the launch of innovative iPlayer Video On Demand Service for its Postpaid and Prepaid GSM Mobile services (Dolphin/Trump) users in Mumbai telecom circle.

The iPlayer is Mobile Video services developed by UK based mobile technology firm ROK Entertainment Group. The iPlayer content is optimized to give the highest resolution possible with the bandwidth available using either GPRS (2.5G), EDGE, WCDMA/UMTS (3G).

By using ROK iPlayer services MTNL’s 2.5G and 3G subscribers can able to receive/view up to 90 Mobile Video Clips per month including Live Breaking News, Daily Astrology Predictions, Bollywood News/ Music, Sports News, Mobile Comics and Comedy clips just at Rs.30 per month. The Video Clips will be available as streamed to or for download on Mobile Phones through the iplayer. 

To subscribe the ROK iPlayer service Dolphin/Trump and 3G customer can visit MTNL Mumbai GPRS Portal or http://mtnl.rokd.tv from their Mobile Phone.
